If you want to learn the basics of landscape maintenance and you work in the areas of lawn, landscape, pest control, or municipal grounds, this series of classes is for you! Classes are for 2 hours each month (the March class will be 6 hours) and will cover the basics such as insects of ornamentals, pruning ornamentals, proper plant installation, and much, much more. Individuals who complete a minimum of 10 out 12 classes (including the March BMPs class) will receive a certificate from the Brevard County UF-IFAS Extension. Classes do not have to be taken in the same year, or in order. CEUs may be available for some classes.

Green Industry Best Management Practices (BMPs) Workshop

This workshop is designed to provide training in Best Management Practices for anyone working in the lawn, landscape, pest control, or municipal grounds areas. Best Management Practices are focused on reducing non-point source pollution resulting from fertilization or pesticide application. Individuals who successfully complete the post-test will be mailed a certificate of completion. CEUs will also be available.
