Homeowner Horticulture
The Horticulture Program is here to help the residents of Brevard County with gardening and insect problems. Bring us your questions, mysteries, and frustrations and go home with some answers.
We also provide assistance in identifying unknown plants (with help from the University of Florida Herbarium) and unknown insects (with help from the University of Florida Insect Identification Lab).
Soil and Water Testing
For a small fee, the UF/IFAS Extension Soil Testing Laboratory can test your soil and water and provide detailed reports. These analyses can help you make informed decisions about buying fertilizers and soil treatments.
Water and soil test forms and instructions for a variety of crops may be found at: Extension Soil and Water Testing.
